Classes

​Mat

Pilates mat classes are offered as part of the group fitness program at BSC Fitness, and led by certified Pilates instructors.  Beginners will become familiar with the basic principles of classic Pilates: Abdominal Control, Concentration, Breathing, Posture and Body Awareness.  More advanced clients will add the challenges of focus, precision and flow.  Small props, such as Magic Circle and Therabands may be incoporated into this workout.

Apparatus Sessions

Private, Duet and Semi-Private sessions are available by appointment only.  To begin your Pilates experience, our Intro to Pilates package is ideal.  Private sessions offer one-on-one attention and allows the instructor to properly assess your body and develop a program targeting your individual needs.  Duet sessions are a great way to enjoy your Pilates program with a friend or partner without sacrificing too much attention from the instructor.  Semi-Private can include up to four participants.  Upon recommendation from your instructor, an understanding of the program is required to join a semi-private group.  This offers you the opportunity to work at your individual level yet share the instructor's guidance. 

Our group fitness schedule includes a variety of classes in addition to Pilates, such as TRX, Zumba, Kickboxing and more.

Group Reformer and Tower

Group Reformer is a one hour class exclusively on the reformer where students are guided through appropriately leveled choreography. A pre-requisite of apparatus training is strongly recommended.

Tower class is a great combination of tower work and mat work. An understanding of the movements and terminology is recommended.

Reservations are required for both classes.
