Corie Lucas

 

I have been training with Power Pilates in NYC since 2002 and have achieved all levels of mat and apparatus certifications.  I will always be a student of Pilates and maintain continued education on an annual basis.  I obtained the accredited PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) Certification in June, 2012. 

Prior to Pilates becoming my primary focus, I entered the fitness industry in 1999, shortly after the birth of my second child.  Initially, I focused on martial arts, particularly kickboxing, for which I taught rhythmic kickboxing and target resistance classes. Within the kickboxing program, I coached 10-week weight loss programs, assisting clients with nutrition and weekly support, in addition to tracking strength improvement and body changes. In 2003, I opened my own Pilates studio. Since then I have developed a fully equipped Pilates studio, including traditional apparatus and classically trained instructors. My focus is integrity, safety, and satisfaction. I believe in well structured, enjoyable classes that aren't overcrowded.
